When I was kid, I used to play all day Prince of Persia and to be honest this game was something different it feels like I am playing horror game it’s music and the enemies. back in those days games are very fun to play and it feels very intense just like IGI 2 Prince of Persia , Tekken, Mortal Kombat – these games are feel very difficult to play at the same time very enjoyable.
But the Prince of Persia series was something different. Lots of Prince of Persia games came out, but my personal favorites were Warrior Within and Sands of Time. Ubisoft did a great job making a masterpiece. in 2024 company Ubisoft announced new Prince of Persia game but after its release Gamers were very disappointed because they were expecting something different.

Why The Lost Crown Disappointed Fans
We all know Prince of Persia came back with the huge game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. People had very high expectations because this game came after so long from the Prince of Persia franchise. Gamers were shocked seeing the graphics of this game—this was the biggest downfall for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. We all expected the game to have high-end graphics, but it seemed more like an indie game. The story was good, but the 2D style of the game felt very unjustified for such a big franchise.
Some more changes that let people down and lowered expectations was the protagonist. They changed the protagonist to Sargon, and this caused huge confusion and disappointment among fans. Many of us were expecting the story to continue with the iconic Prince.
To be honest, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a good game, but we expected it to be as good as The Sands of Time or Warrior Within. Our expectations were destroyed by Ubisoft, so they decided to give us a new game—which is not new—they are remaking The Sands of Time.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake
To get the reputation back and regain all the lost respect, Ubisoft tying real hard this time and making remake of pop: The sands of Time. Now people are debating—some are saying they want a new game, but they already created Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which got lots of criticism. So they decided to remake Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Now Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is not just a remake—they will improve the game mechanics, add new objects, some new features, and of course, the graphical improvements fans actually want. There will also be a little bit of a new storyline, and the rest will stay the same as the OG Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
We’re also getting new soundtracks, new dialogues and voice lines, and a polished, finished product—because this time Ubisoft can’t afford another disappointment. After The Lost Crown divided the fan base, this remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is going to release in July 2026, so we have to wait one more year. They don’t want to mess it up this time.
In the meantime, it will crash with GTA 6, although GTA 6 is a huge title and a brand-new game—but still, it’s worth watching to see if Ubisoft will be able to gain its lost fan base this time.
